Call rates close flat at 8.20pc
Mumbai, Jan 16 (UNI) Interbank call money remained flat at 8.00-8.20 per cent from its last close, traders today said.
As most banks covered for most of their mandatory reserve requirements in the earlier week itself, borrowing requirements remained on the lower side.
Thus, despite tight systemic liquidity, inter bank rates traded steady around their current levels.
At the RBI LAF window, four bids worth Rs 90 crore were accepted at the one-day reverse repo auction while at the one-day repo auction, 34 bids amounting to Rs 16,620 crore were accepted by the central bank.
At the CBLO segment, 327 bids worth Rs 18,245 crore were transacted in the range of 7.22-7.28 per cent.
Call rates are likely to trade on the higher side till improvement in liquidity, traders added.
