5 research bodies to be set up in MP
Bhopal, Jan 16 (UNI) About 1,000 acres have been allotted to five research institutions, a medical colony and a Police Technical Training Institute that are to come up in the Madhya Pradesh capital's vicinity.
Besides, 400 acres are being provided for expanding the Raja Bhoj Airport whose runway is being extended to 11,000 feet in conformity with international standards. On completion of the expansion programme, the airport would be able to accommodate 20 planes at a time.
''Two of the institutions will be set up by the Human Resource Development Ministry. They are the 100-acre Excellence Institute of Architects in Bhounri village and the 200-acre Indian Institute of Science Research at Peepalner Gandhi Nagar,'' said state Industry and Commerce Minister Babulal Gaur.
Pointing out that two-year-long efforts were made to ensure that these institutions were established in Madhya Pradesh, he lauded HRD Minister Arjun Singh for cooperation.
