2007, a challenging year for RJD: Raghuvansh
Ranchi, Jan 16 (UNI) Declaring 2007 as a challenging year for RJD, Union Rural Development Minister and senior RJD leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh today urged the party workers to use the Centrre sponsored schemes and Right To Information Act (RTI) as a tool to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level.
Addressing a party workers meeting here, Mr Singh said people in the rural areas were unaware about the various rural development schemes and it was the duty of party workers to make them aware about them.
Mr Singh said with the help of RTI every party worker could get the information about developmental schemes being run in their area and monitor them.
Mr Singh also stressed to strengthen the party at booth level by selecting five to eleven members.
The Union Minister also stressed the need to actively organise Self Help Groups (SHG).
Stressing the role of panchayat bodies in rural development of Jharkhand, Mr Singh said that holding panchayat elections in the state was important, adding that the Centre would provide every possible support for holding the elections.
