''We don't have personal enmity with anybody'': Geelani
Srinagar, Jan 15 (UNI) Firebrand leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani has condemned in strongest terms the grenade attack on the residence of moderate Hurriyat chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq today, but said linking their name to such incidents was an attempt to derive ''petty'' political mileage out of these.
''We don't have personal enmity against anybody...We don't believe in politics of revenge,'' breakaway Hurriyat spokesman Ayaz Akbar quoted Mr Geelani as having said in a statement.
Mr Geelani said their ''struggle'' was totally peaceful, based on principles and launched for restoration of dignity and honour of the people of the state.
''We believe that those taking part in the ongoing dialogue process are playing with the sentiments of the people of the state.
To oppose that at every step is our right,'' he added.
Democratic Freedom Party chief Shabir Ahmed Shah cautioned the people of the designs of the elements behind such attacks. These elements wanted to create confusion among the people, he added.
