TCS Q3 net rises to Rs 951 cr, 3rd interim at Rs 3 per share

Mumbai, Jan 15 (UNI) Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS) has posted a net profit of Rs 950.52 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006, as compared to Rs 679.65 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.

The company said its total income is Rs 3,849.69 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006, where as the same was at Rs 2,676.85 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.

Commenting on Q3 performance, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Company S Ramadorai said ''We've had another quarter of exceptional performance. TCS has become the first Indian IT Company to clock USD one billion in revenues in a single quarter and has crossed the USD three billion mark in the first three quarters alone.'' He added that ''This shows that TCS full-services model is delivering sustained profitable growth quarter on quarter in the midst of a dynamic operating environment.'' Meanwhile, the Board of TCS has declared a third Interim Dividend of Rs three per equity share of Re one, each of the Company.
