Security forces in Nagaland on high alert
Kohima, Jan 15 (UNI) Following the pressure mounted against the ULFA in Asom, the security forces in Nagaland have sounded red alert along the border areas of the states, fearing intrusion of ULFA cadres.
Official sources here today said the patrol and security along the Nagaland-Asom border had been intensified and strengthened.
The Assam Rifles troops have also been put on high alert, they added.
They also said shoot-at-sight orders have been issued against ULFA cadres and collaborators.
Meanwhile, the Unified Command in Asom reportedly cautioned both the NSCN factions not to help the ULFA cadres.
The sources also warned that any person helping the ULFA in any manner would have to face dire consequences.
