President on two-day visit to Pune

Pune, Jan 15 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam will arrive on a two-day visit to the city tomorrow.

Dr Kalam will attend a series of programmes during his stay. He will participate in the closing ceremony of the 12th National Youth Festival at Balewadi near here tomorrow afternoon.

On January 17, Dr Kalam will attend the silver jubilee celebrations of the National Insurance Academy. He is also scheduled to visit the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and enquire about the health of music maestro Pandit Bhimsen Joshi. Thereafter, Dr Kalam is scheduled to interact with students of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

Dr Kalam will attend a programme organised by the Tata Researach Development and Design Centre and will also address officials at the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) here before leaving for Delhi, an official press note stated.
