New Sherif takes charge

Kolkata , Jan 15 (UNI) Kolkata today had its new 23rd Sherif with chartered accountant Rathindranath Chakraborty taking charge.

Mr Chakrabarty succeeded noted physician Dr Amal Chakrabarty.

Sitting on the centuries-old ornate wooden chair in the old building of Calcuta High Court , the new Sherif said," I feel honoured on being chosen for the chair." " I will try my best to discharge my duty keeping in mind the glorious history of the post," he said.
