NeST sets up Offshore Development Centre for Fujitsu

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 15 (UNI) Network Systems and Technologies(P) Ltd (NeST) today announced setting up an Offshore Development Centre(ODC) for Fujitsu VLSI Limited, Japan for rendering dedicated integrated circuit services.

Under this agreement Fujitsu would outsource the Very Large Scale Integrated Circuit(VLSI) development works to NeST.

Commenting on the alliance, Mr Hitoshi Takahashi, President and ECO, Fujitsu VLSI Limited said, ''NeST's offshore delivery capability, presence in Japan, robust processess and flexible operational model have been instrumental in making them a natural partner. Its high calibre engineering skills and domain expertise will help Fujitsu to design solutions for emerging markets.

Mr Javad Hassan, Chairman of NeST Group, said ''Globally semiconductor industry is poised for tremendous growth. The developed world is increasingly considering India as a destination for supporting them with creative ideas and high-end technical expertise. I consider VLSI design as the next growth engine for the semiconductor division of NeST.'' UNI
