Minor transfer of IPS officer in HP

Shimla, Jan 15 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government today ordered the promotion of three IPS officers and transfer of two other officers besides posting and transferring 17 Himachal Police Service (HPS) officers, official sources said today.

IPS officers BN Negi and OC Thakur have been promoted and posted as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Headquarters (PHQ) respectively, while Bilaspur SP Ashok Tiwari has been promoted as Deputy Inspector General ACB at Shimla.

The sources said IGP Vigilance Jagit Kumar has been named as new IG (P) Railway and Traffic, while DIG Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) S R Sharma has been posted as DIG CID at Shimla.

Besides, the state government also ordered the transfer and posting of 17 HPS officers with immediate effect, the sources added.
