ILS facility in Dimapur airport from today
Kohima, Jan 15 (UNI) The Instrument Landing System (ILS) at Dimapur airport will be commissioned from today.
The officials of Airport Authority of India, Dimapur today said once the ILS is commissioned, the frequent diversion and cancellation of flights owing to inclement weather would be minimised.
The ILS was also a long-standing demand from the air traffic users as well as the people of Nagaland.
Dimapur airport Joint General Manager Chandan Sen in a release said the availability of ILS, the same requirement for both ATR and Boeing aircraft would come down to 1300 meters.
