ILS facility in Dimapur airport from Jan 15
Kohima, Jan 15: The Instrument Landing System (ILS) at Dimapur airport will be commissioned from today.
The officials of Airport Authority of India, Dimapur today saidonce the ILS is commissioned, the frequent diversion and cancellationof flights owing to inclement weather would be minimised.
The ILS was also a long-standing demand from the air traffic users as well as the people of Nagaland.
Dimapur airport Joint General Manager Chandan Sen in a releasesaid the availability of ILS, the same requirement for both ATR andBoeing aircraft would come down to 1300 meters.
