HC directs to resolve pay fixation of section officers soon
Allahabad, Jan 15 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court today ordered the Principal Secretary (Finance) of Uttar Pradesh govenment to immediately resolve the pay fixation of the HC section officers within one month.
A Division bench, comprising Justices Amitava Lala and Sanjay Mishra passed the order on a writ petition filed by the section officers seeking fixation of pay at par with the administrative officers (Judicial) of the Delhi HC.
The case of the petitioners was that a committee of the four judges was formed by the Chief Justice with regard to the pay fixation. The committee had made recommendation for placing the pay scales from Rs 6,500--10,000--15,200 at par with administrative officers of the Delhi HC.
The Chief Justice of the Allahabad HC had considered the report of the committee and ordered the state government to implement the recommendations of the committee. However, notwithstanding Chief Justice's order, nothing was done by the state government.
The HC further made it clear if Principal Secretary (Finance) feels that the matter should be considered by some other authority, he is free to forward the case to such authority.
