HC denies Tyagi bail
New Delhi, Jan 15 (UNI) The Delhi High Court rejected today the bail application of former Delhi police official R P Tyagi, sentenced to death for a custodial killing.
A division bench headed by Justice Manmohan Sarin and Justice SL Bhayana admitted the former ACP's appeal challenging his conviction order.
It may be mentioned here that Tyagi was sentenced to death on December 18, 2006 for killing Mahinder in police custody in 1987.
While the other co-accused retired ACP K P Singh and sub-inspector Tej Singh were sentenced to one year and three years imprisonment respectively in the case.
