CPI(ML) to organise statewide agitation tomorrow
Ranchi, Jan 15 (UNI) Accusing the UPA-backed Madhu Koda government of not initiating action against the accused in the murder of CPI(ML) MLA Mahendra Singh, the party today alleged the government was not paying heed to it.
Talking to reporters here, party's state secretary Shubhendu Sen said the party would not co-operate with the government if the matter was not considered in the UPA meeting tomorrow.
Mr Sen said the present UPA-backed Koda government was also following the footsteps of its erstwhile NDA government in the case of former party MLA Mahendra Singh.
Mr Singh was murdered on January 16, 2005. He said the UPA, which was in opposition when CPI(ML) MLA Mr Singh was murdered, demanded immediate inquiry but now after coming to power, the issue was not even raised once.
He said two years after the incident, neither an arrest was made, nor the accused were questioned.
The party had organised a statewide programme tomorrow to build pressure on the Koda government to expedite the inquiry process on the second death anniversary of Mr Singh, Mr Sen added.
