Court notices to state, Centre

New Delhi, Jan 15 (UNI) Metropolitan Magistrate Ajay Goel today asked medical superintendent of Lady Hardinge Hospital to appear before the court on January 19 to expplain the causes for denying a patient admission to the hospital.

Besides, the judge issued notices to the centre and the state as to why no action should be taken against the authorities denying a patient admission to a government hospital.

The court was hearing a petition filed by the police over a man found unconscious at Lahori Gate on December 12. Although rushed to the Aruna Asif Ali hospital, he was denied admission to the hospital.

When the patient was taken to Lady Hardinge hospital later, he was denied admission there too.
