Corruption not discussed in 'Manthan 2007': Oppn leader
Bhopal, Jan 15 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Opposition Leader Jamuna Devi has expressed concern over the issue of corruption not being discussed between ministers and bureaucrats during the two-day workshop 'Manthan 2007'.
In a statement here today, Ms Devi said Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's statement that 'manthan (discussion)' has brought out 'nectar' (read positive results) but not poison proved that issues like corruption were not discussed during the workshop.
Pointing out that the association between the state government and officialdom became a medium for meeting selfish ends, she said friendly relations between the regime and bureaucrats must not be advocated.
The Congress leader added that the workshop could prove beneficial only if the administration became free from corruption, transparent and sensitive.
