Mumbai, Jan 15 (UNI) Inter bank rates went up marginally to end the day at 8.00-8.20 per cent from its Friday's close of 7.90-8.10 per cent, dealers said.

Lack of any fresh triggers coupled with steady levels of both, demand and supply ensured that the call rates hovered around the present levels.

At the LAF window, the RBI accepted five bids worth Rs 145 crore at the 1-day reverse repo auction while at the 1-day repo auction, 39 bids amounting to Rs 16,525 crore were accepted.

The CBLO segment witnessed 306 bids worth Rs 16,904 crore being traded in the range of 7.00-7.30 per cent.

With no major change expected in either the borrowing requirements of the banks or of the rupee surplus in the system, inter bank rates are expected to remain steady in the coming days, traders added.
