Advani foresees many pilgrimage trips in 2007
Hubli, Jan 15 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani's New Year 2007 will be full of visits to pilgrimage centres.
Informing this at the inaugural of the Mahamastakabhisheka of 60-ft monolith statue of Bhagwan Parshwanath at Navgraha Teertha, near here, today, he said he could imagine people all over the world going to many places to enjoy New Year's day. But when he asked his family members, they wanted to go to Haridwar, a pilgrimage centre.
So, he visited Haridwar along with his family members and celebrated New Year day, performing 'Aarati' to river Ganga.
''It's not even 15 days after that, I have come here to inaugurate a new Teerthakshetra - Navagraha Teertha. I think, now onwards this year, my time will be spent on visiting Teerthakshetras only,'' he added.
