ADB controversy ridiculous: Raghavan

Pathanamthitta, Jan 15 (UNI) Communist Marxist Party (CMP) leader and former Minister M V Raghavan today said the controversy plaguing the Left Democratic Front (LDF) ministry regarding the ADB deal was nothing but ridiculous.

Talking to reporters here, he said Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan was completely in the dark about this most important deal affecting the interests of the state. If the Chief Minister was incapable of controlling his cabinet colleagues, political decency demanded his resignation.

The LDF which opposed the ADB deal tooth and nail while in Opposition was enthusiastic in implementing it now. Mr Raghavan said and alleged that the LDF had lost its sense of direction as a result of internal squabbles.
