Abducted Himachali youth found murdered in Uttarakhand

Nahan, Jan 15 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Police today claimed to have recovered the body of a 22-year-old abducted Himachali youth from the banks of Kulhal River in Uttarakhand area yesterday.

Some unidentified people had abducted Ashok Kumar on Saturday and had made two ransom calls of Rs 10 lakh to his parents.

Poanta SHO Narveer Rathore said they recovered the body, which was tied with a motorcycle, yesterday after a local panchayati raj member informed them about it.

He said the youth was accompanying his grandmother to Uttarkhand on Saturday when he was abducted.

A case had been registered and investigations were on to arrest culprits, Mr Rathore said.
