Kohima, Jan 14(UNI) Kohima police yesterday recovered two bullet ridden bodies in the Para-Medical area of this town in Nagaland.

Police sources here today said the victims were abducted earlier from their residences in the Lerie Colony of this town, before later being shot dead and their bodies being dumped in the Para-Medical area.

The victims were identified as one Pongjai Konyak (31) and Phoba Konyak (29), their hands and legs were tied and both were blindfolded.

While the NSCN-IM claimed that one of the victims belonged to their organisation, the NSCN(K) denied their involvement in the killing and claimed that both of them were innocent citizens.

Later, the Konyak Union vehemently condemned the brutal murder of civilians working as motor mechanics in a garage in Kohima.

The Konyak Union demanded immediate arrest of the culprits and capital punishment.
