Rigorous imprisonment to husband in dowry death case
Patna, Jan 14 (UNI) Additional district and sessions judge of Patna Virendra Mohan Srivastav awarded rigorous imprisonment to a person in a dowry death case.
The judge, Mr Srivastav, observed in his judgement yesterday that the death of the victim was not under normal circumstances.
According to the charges, the victim was killed by her husband on February 16, 2002 at her in-laws' house when she failed to fulfill the demands of Rs 50,000 and a motorcycle as dowry.
The doctor had found strangulation mark on the neck of the victim and poisonous pesticide in her viscera.
