Pranab discusses dialogue with Pakistani leaders at informal meet

Islamabad, Jan 14 (UNI) External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee today held a meeting with Pakistani political leaders and discussed the current state of India-Pakistan engagement and the political and economic developments in the region.

The meeting, at the India House here, was attended by former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, who heads the ruling PML(Q) Asfandyar Wali Khan, leader of Awami National Party, Makhdoom Amin Fahim, PPP parliamentary party leader, Maulana Fazlur Rahman, MMA Secretary General and Dr Mohammad Farooq, deputy convenor of the MQM.

Officials described the meeting as an ''informal tete-a-tete''.

The External Affairs Minister and the Pakistani leadership discussed the pace and the developments in the composite dialogue process between the two countries.
