Chennai, Jan 14 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Murali Manohar Joshi today reiterated that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should honour all his commitments made during the debate in both Houses of Parliament on the Indo-US nuclear deal.

Talking to newspersons here, he said the Prime Minister should also take note of the concerns of the country's scientists before signing the deal.

''Dr Singh should also take the nation into confidence about the status of the deal and its terms and conditions,'' he said, adding that the BJP had always expressed its concerns about the deal.

Commenting on another aspect of the nuke deal pertaining to the agricultural sector, Mr Joshi alleged that in the name of the second Green Revolution, conditions detrimental to the ''future of our agriculture were being imposed on Indian farmers and researchers.'' ''The farmer would be forced to adopt Genetically Modified Crops (GMC) and would have to pay heavy royalty to the MNCs which will confuse them,'' he said, adding the agricultural deal should be discussed in Parliament and farmers should be informed about the risks involved in the new policy.
