K'taka: Governor, CM greet people on 'Sankranti'

Bangalore, Jan 14: Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi, ChiefMinister H D Kumaraswamy today greeted the people on the occasion ofMakara Sankranthi.

In his message, Mr Chaturvedi said that "may the MakaraSankranthi, which will also be observed as Pongal, usher in prosperity,gaiety and peace in everybody life." Mr Kumaraswamy, in his greetings,said that "Sankranthi which symbolises abundance and harmoniouscoexistence of people is a rare festival where every one of us willgreet each other and share our joys. Let this festival be a turningpoint in the lives of people and bring them peace and prosperity."

Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, Opposition leader in theLegislative Assembly N Dharam Singh have also greeted the people on theoccasion of Sankranti festival.
