Kannadigas mourn Sadashiva's death

New Delhi, Jan 14 (UNI) A large number of Kannada people today paid rich tributes to noted short story writer and senior journalist G S Sadashiva who died in Bangalore recently.

The condolence meeting, organised by 'Dehali Kannadiga' a monthly published from the national Capital, hailed Mr Sadashiva's contributions as a writer and a journalist who has served various leading newspapers including Prajavani, Mayura and Kannada Prabha in various capacities. He was accorded the Karnataka Media Academy Award and also Kannada Rajyotsava Award in 2006.

Dehali Kannadiga editor M B Samaga urged Karnataka Media Academy to organise an exhibition of Kannada journals in the name of Mr Sadashiva in Delhi to showcase the growth of Kannada jounalism to the outside world. His newspaper would be giving an award to a distinguished Kannada journalist, he said.
