IOC to receive Gold Trophy for excellence from P M

New Delhi, Jan 14 (UNI) The nation's largest refiner IndianOil Corporation will be presented an award for outstanding contribution to the public sector management by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The company has been awarded the gold trophy for excellence and outstanding contribution to the public sector management in the institutional category for the year 2005-06 by Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE), the apex body of Central Government-owned public enterprises.

The silver trophies have been won by Bharat Electronics Ltd in (medium PSE category) and RITES Ltd in (small PSE category) and National Buildings Construction Corporation Ltd (turnaround category).

In the individual excellence award category, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd CMD R P Singh has won a Gold Plaque and a cash amount of Rs one lakh.

Scope Exellence Awards will be presented during the conference of chief executive of public enterprises in March 2007.
