Dissident RJD workers launch new party in Andamans

Port Blair, Jan 14 (UNI) Dissident RJD workers, led by K N Singh, today resigned from the RJD and launched a new party christened as ''Dweep Vikash Party''.

'' The party will work for development of these islands, '' said Mr Singh during a public rally here.

Mr Singh resigned from the RJD when some elected RJD Councillors supported the BJP in Port Blair Municipal Council Chairman election.

Before joining the RJD nearly a year back, Mr Singh was the general secretary of the Congress Committee of Port Blair and once elected Councillor in Port Blair Municipal Council.
