Committee on land recovery soon: Minister

Visakhapatnam, Jan 14 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasadarao today said a high level committee headed by state chief secretary would be constituted for recovery of assigned lands.

Addressing a news conference here, he said the government would take a decision on assigned lands only after the Committee submitted its report.

A 'bhooyagnam' would be undertaken shortly in line with the 104 recommendations of the Koneru Ranga Rao Land Committee, he added.

Refuting reports in a section of media that lands of poor people were recovered he said assigned lands held by the rich and business men only would be recovered.
