BSF beefs up security along Indo-Bangla border

Shillong, Jan 14 (UNI) In view of the ongoing political turmoil in Bangladesh, security has been tightened along the India and Bangladesh border, official sources said today.

''We have deployed additional forces along the border to prevent people from sneaking into India,'' Inspector General of BSF in-charge Asom, Mehalaya, Manipur and Nagaland Frontier told UNI here today.

Mr Sinha said the troops have been deployed in all identified vulnerable areas to tackle any kind of situation.

''Strict instructions have been directed to jawans to maintain a strict vigil along the border,'' he said UNI
