ULFA menace not to be tolerated : Lalu
Purulia, Jan 13 (UNI) The UPA government at the Centre would not tolerate the killing of Hindi-speaking people by the ULFA, averred Railway Minister Lalu Prasad here today.
Inaugurating the four-day 5th Adra Utsav, he expressed displeasure over the extremist attack in which several Hindi-speaking people were killed by ULFA.
Mr Prasad cautioned the extremists for the consequence, and stressed the need for emulating Swami Vivekananda's message of "Assimilation and brotherhood, but not destruction".
Meanwhile, Mr Prasad announced a few projects of Rs 17 crore for the uplift of Eastern and South-eastern railway's Asansol and Adra divisions respectively.
Mr Basudeb Adharia, MP and chairman of Railway Standing Committee in Parliament was also present.
