Two fishermen drowned while fishing

Mangalore, Jan 13 (UNI) Two fishermen were drowned in two separate incidents in Gongolli police limits in Kudapura Taluk while fishing in the sea yesterday.

Police said that Janardhan Khanoji (48) fell into water and drowned when his fishing boat was hit by a strong tide about 10 Km away from the sea mouth. The body was recovered and handed over to relatives after postmortem.

In another incident, Dasa Kharvi(45) was drowned when he lost his balance and fell into the sea while fishing in his Gilnet boat.

The body was recovered later.
