Temperatures by and large normal in the country

Pune, Jan 13 (UNI) Cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Punjab, Jammu&Kashimir, northeast Rajasthan, isolated places in eastern Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Bihar, Uttaranchal, western Uttar Pradesh, interior Tamil Nadu, some parts of sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, southwest Rajasthan, Gujarat, southcentral Maharashtra and in remaining parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Jammu&Kashmir.

They were appreciably above normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, some parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh and in the remaining parts of Gujarat.

Temperatures were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya.

Mainly dry weather will prevail in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand and Bihar.
