TDP leader slams AP Govt
Hyderabad, Jan 13 (UNI) The Opposition Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party (TDPP) Leader K Yerranaidu today alleged the Congress Government led by Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy failed to get ample Central assistance for all sectors in the state.
Referring to purported statements of the Chief Minister that the previous TDP Government as a partner of the NDA Government did nothing for the state's development, Mr Naidu alleged the present dispensation had even failed to get sufficient power and Central allocation for flood relief.
Stating the TDP Government obtained the approval for setting up IIIT, ISB and international airports and passed resolution to set up an IIT at Basara in Adilabad District, Mr Yerranaidu said the Chief Minister changed the location of the IIT to Medak District 'in breach' of the resolution passed in the Assembly.
Alleging he government also failed to control prices of essential commodities, TDP Leader Shobha Nagi Redy alleged middlemen were gaining profits in marketing of agriculture produce.
Farmers and consumers became victims of the price hike, she claimed.
