Tamil attempts new Guinness World Record on Keyboard
Tiruchirapalli, Jan 13 (UNI) In a laudable effort to crash into the guiness book, 17-year M Robin Patricks, a class XII student, attempted the feat by playing the Keyboard non-stop for 72 hours with the aim of spreading the message of World Peace and to highlight President A P J Abdul Kalam's vision of India being a developed nation by 2020.
It was an attempt to break the existing World Record of playing keyboard incessantly for 48 hrs, Mr Patricks told UNI, minutes before the concert.
He said his concert would feature some of the songs of his own composition, alongwith quite a few film numbers. Mr Patricks has so far composed 30 songs in Tamil and English on patriotism and nature.
Patricks, studying in St John's Vestry Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School has participated in many competitions and claimed 500-stage performances on the keyboard.
He said his passion for keyboard began when he was just a four-year-old. After undergoing three years of intensive training, he became a prodigy on the reciting keyboard.
A Jury, consisting of eminent personalities watched the event.
The video clippings of Mr Patricks attempt would be sent to the Guinness World Records authorities.
