Stowaway's body found on Delta flight from Senegal
ATLANTA, Jan 13 (Reuters) The body of a stowaway was found in the wheel well of a Delta Air Lines plane when it landed at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson airport after a flight from Senegal, a Delta spokeswoman said.
The Boeing 767-300 landed at 8:45 a.m. (local time) after the overnight flight from Dakar.
''Federal state and local law enforcement officials met the flight on arrival and are working closely with Delta to investigate this tragic incident,'' said spokeswoman Betsy Talton yesterday.
Authorities in Senegal were also involved in the investigation, she said..
Talton gave no details of the individual's identity. Delta flies daily to South Africa, via Senegal in West Africa.
