Rivals unite to reduce Ukraine president's powers
KIEV, Jan 12 (Reuters) Rivals of Ukraine's President Viktor Yushchenko today voted to reduce his control over government in one of the heaviest blows to his authority since taking over after the 2004 Orange Revolution.
Deputies supporting Yushchenko's foe Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich and his former ally turned rival Yulia Tymoshenko won two-thirds of the votes in the 450-seat parliament to overturn the president's veto.
