Maoist technical expert arrested in AP

Khammam, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 13 (UNI) Police arrested a technical expert owing allegiance to CPI (Maoist) party near Cherla when he was crossing the state border today.

Police said a special police party arrested Shiva Prasad alias Dhaniram on Andhra Pradesh - Chattisgarh border and seized one 303 rifle and revolutionary literature from him.

Police suspect that Shiva Prasad was one among the key technical experts of the Maoist party, engaged in production of weapons and rocket launchers.
