Four of a family killed in blast in northern Bangladesh
Dhaka, Jan 13 (UNI) Four people were killed in a bomb blast in the frontier Chapainawabganj town of northern Bangladesh today.
Police said the blast occurred at the Rail Bagan slum in the town. Two minor girls died on the spot while their another kin and mother succumbed to their injuries, sustained due to the blast, in a hospital.
The deceased have been identified as -- Mariam (35), Shantana (6), Sheuli (4) and Shilpi (8).
According to family sources, Mariam, a sweeper, picked up a small container from a bus stand in the town and gave it to her daughters.
The container exploded when her daughters were playing with it at their home.
Police and Army personnel have cordoned off the area after the explosion.
