Four Maoists killed in encounter

Nalgonda, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 13 (UNI) Four naxals belonging to the CPI (Maoist) were killed in an encounter with police near Ellavanigudem village in Nalagonda district of Andhra Pradesh today.

Police said the naxals opened fire at a special police party while conducting combing operations in the village.

The police fired at the naxals in retaliation killing the four Maoists on the spot.

One AK 47, one carbine, One sten gun and one 'tapancha' were recovered from the scence of encounter. The slain naxals are yet be indentified.
