Congress retains KAAC
Diphu , Jan 13 (UNI) The Congress won 15 out of 25 seats in the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) in Asom.
The total number of seats in the KAAC is 26. Polling for one seat was countermanded following the death of an independent candidate.
The Congress retains KAAC.
The results were declared yesterday.
The ASDC (H) /CPI(ML) combine won four seats, while the ASDC(I) bagged three seats. ASDC(I) Chairman Jotson Bey lost the elections.
Independent won three seats.
