Bring nectar out from 'manthan':Chouhan

Bhopal, Jan 13 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today called upon senior bureaucrats and police officials to bring out nectar (read positive results) by 'manthan (discussion)' and take it to public.

''It has been observed that developmental schemes are not implemented as intended and several irregularities come to fore.

Despite the availability of budget, procedural delays take place, while problems of poor are not resolved as envisaged by the government,'' said Mr Chouhan, while inaugurating a two-day workshop, 'Manthan 2007', here today.

He said it was necessary to bring about a change in the overall situation and come to concrete conclusions.

''We have become used to work in the system, but it is essential to work on the system, which is fraught with several flaws. We become habituated to think within certain parameters but 'Manthan 2007' provides an opportunity to think out of the box,'' Mr Chouhan said.

He hoped that senior cabinet members and officers would have no-holds-barred discussion and good results would come out of the programme that would help in bringing out necessary changes in administrative machinery and schemes.

Chief Secretary Rakesh Sahni said solutions must be found out for the present problems being faced by the administration during the workshop.

Cabinet ministers, Director General of Police Anand Rao Pawar and other senior officials were taking part in the workshop.
