Bangla Muslims behind disturbances in Asom: VHP
Lucknow, Jan 13: Senior Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader andformer MP Ramvilasdas Vedanti today alleged Bangladeshi Muslims of theULFA were behind the recent disturbances in Asom to get rid of theHindus staying there.
''It was a clear case of Bangladeshi Muslims trying to force theHindus to flee from the place so that they can easily grab their landand properties,'' he claimed.
Talking to mediapersons, the VHP leader said the governments ofAsom, Tripura and other North-eastern states were giving benefits likeration cards and Election Photo Identity Cards to the Bangladeshimigrants.
''If such things continue to happen, the Hindus of NE states wouldbe forced to flee their homelands and within a short time the entirebelt will be controlled by the Bangladeshi Muslims,'' he furtheralleged.
Terming the issue as serious, Dr Vedanti said the Dharam Sansad atAllahabad on January 16-17 would discuss the issue in detail and later,the issue will be also taken in the third Hindu Samellan to be heldthere on February 11-13.
