'Arturo' claims Chief Minister's Cup

Bangalore, Jan 13 (UNI) Rank outsider 'Arturo', ridden by Jockey Suraj Narredu, won the Chief Minister's trophy, the main event of the winter meeting here today.

The winner is the property of D Khaitan, representing Soom Stud Farm Private Limited, and trained by Darius Byramji.

Trainer Ifan Ghatala scored a double, while jockeys Suraj Narredu had a treble and J H Christopher had a brace.

Punters had a mixed day, with four favourites obliging in a card of seven events.
