AP Governor's Sankranti wishes

Hyderabad, Jan 13 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Governor Rameshwar Thakur today conveyed his greetings to the people of the state on occasion of Makar Sankranti.

According to an official release here, Mr Thakur said Sankranti, the harvest festival, occupied a significant place in the cultural horizon of India, particularly in rural areas and was celebrated with all gaiety and jubiliation.

''May this auspicious occasion inspire noble thoughts of love, affection, amity and brotherhood in us,'' he added.
