2 women attacked over property dispute

Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 13 (UNI) Two women were brutally attacked yesterday by their relative at Perrajupalle Village of Ramasamduram Mandal in the district.

Police sources said here today, Venkataramana had an argument at his father-in-law's house over share of property. He also asked his wife be allowed to return with him to celebrate Sankranthi.

Following his father-in-law's refusal to accede to his request, Venkatramana attacked his wife Kalavathi and his sister-in-law Sunitha who was pregnant with a sickle.

They were immediately rushed to the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) in Tirupati where their condition was reported to be critical.

Police are on the look out for Venkataramana.
