Bush speech worst blunder since Vietnam
WASHINGTON, Jan 11 (Reuters) US President George W Bush's plan to send about 21,500 more US troops to Iraq is the greatest US foreign policy blunder since Vietnam, Nebraska Republican Sen Chuck Hagel said today.
''I think this speech given last night by this president represents the most dangerous foreign policy blunder in this country since Vietnam if it's carried out,'' Hagel, a possible US 2008 presidential candidate, told a congressional hearing.
''I
will
resist
it.''
