TN to include Japanese in curriculum: Official
Hyderabad, Jan 11 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu government will introduce Japanese language in all schools from the new academic year as part of its long term strategy to woo investments from the country into the state, including in IT and ITeS, a top official today said.
Informing this to mediapersons here, Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Managing Director C Umashankar said presently the US accounted for 70 per cent of IT investments in the state with Japanese investments being meagre.
The government, which had been promoting two languague policy of Tamil and English, had taken a 'pathbreaking' decision to attract industrial gaint Japan in a big way, he added.
