Relay fast enters 28th day

Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 11 (UNI) The relay fast demanding the reopening of Machilipatnam Port, organised by the Port Development Committee entered the 28th day here today.

Ms L Vanaja (TDP), opposition leader in the Machilipatnam Municipal Council, TDP Joint Secretary Leela Rani and 12 other women from different parties took part in the relay fast today for reopening the port, which was closed down in 1987.

L Balaji, TDP Town Secretary and other prominent persons expressed solidarity to the fasting leaders.
